Product Catalog Overview
Product Catalog
With the Product Catalog, you get the ability to upload content into one system vs. multiple (since all retailers will have the ability to access the catalog if they choose - data the retailer will push up to their menu). This helps your brand be displayed exactly how you would like it within POSaBIT merchants' menus. This will help you set a standard for your Brand's marketing so it is more organized and structured throughout the market. To see what types of information you can upload to the portal, follow the steps below.
- Navigate to the Product Catalog tab within the Vendor portal. Select Product Types.
- On the Product Types page, you have access to upload the following information to your product types:
- Image
- Name
- Product Family
- Type (MJ vs Non-MJ)
- Insights
- To proceed to the next portion of the Product Catalog, under the Product Catalog tab, select Brands.
- Under the Brands tab, you can see the brands you have based on what brands you have sold to POSaBIT retailers. You have the option to see all your inventory within each Brand by selecting Catalog, or you can click the green Edit button to edit the following information about each of your Brands:
- Name
- Website
- Description
- Published (Yes or no)
- Image
- Migrate to: This means you could merge this Brand with another Brand if they should be merged for any reason.
- Next, navigate to the Strains page under the Product Catalog tab.
- On the Strains page, you have access to all the Strains that have been input under your Brand by retailers. To update any strains, click the green Edit button on the right side of the page. You will have the option to edit the following Strain information:
- Name
- Image
- Description
- Migrate to: This is how you can merge duplicate strains. This is likely going to be common because different retailers can have slightly different names for strains, resulting in duplicates.
- Click Save to update the strain you edited.
- Next, under the Product Catalog tab, go to the Products page. On the products page, you can see all the products you offer and have sold to POSaBIT retailers. You can edit any individual product by clicking the green Edit button on the right side of the page, or you can bulk select products and bulk edit by selecting the checkboxes on the right side of each product and clicking the Edit Checked button in the top right of the page. Finally, you can use the filters on the left side to locate specific products.
- The last page included within the Product Catalog is the Image Gallery. Go here using the same Product Catalog tab as the previous pages and select Image Gallery.
- On the Image Gallery page, you can upload new images using the file drop or by selecting images from your computer. This page also has three tabs of photos - All, Brands, and Products. Each product will be considered either a Brand or a Product image. Brand images will be the default image for products without a product image. To see what options there are for each image, select the one you'd like to review or edit.
- When you select an image, the image page will be pulled up, which will allow you to see all products associated with the image, along with who created it, when it was created, the keywords associated to it, the owner of the image, and the license (who it belongs to essentially).
- To add more products to the image, use the search bar at the upper center of the page. Once you search the product, click the green Add button on the right side of the search bar.
- To edit the image, the image category, or the keywords, click the green Edit button on the bottom left side of the image's page.
- An edit page will pull up where you can switch the image, category, or keywords. The keywords will automatically add this image to products which include these keywords IF there is no product image associated to the products already.
- Done - you should now have a better understanding of the Product Catalog.
