How to Setup Customer Referral Sources

With POSaBIT customer profiles, you can track where your customers are coming from using Referral Sources. These referral sources are completely customizable allowing you to track how successful different marketing campaigns have been. 


Customizing Referral Sources

  1. Login to the POSaBIT Portal

  2. Go to SettingsAccount Information Settings

  3. Go down to the Customers section and find the Referral Sources 

  4. Enter as many referral sources as necessary, separating each referral source using a comma (see example image above)

  5. Finally, click Save at the bottom of the page to save the new referral sources.


How to make Referral Sources Required on new customer profiles:

  1. Login to the POSaBIT portal
  2. Go to SettingsCustomer Acknowledgements

  3. On the right side, go down to the “Referral Source” option and select the green Edit button

  4. Referral Source Options:
    • Select “Is Enabled?” to have Referral Sources as an option when making a customer profile. 
    • Select “Is Required?” to make it a required field when creating a new loyalty customer profile. 
    • Select “Is Required for a Non-Member?” to make it a requirement for non-loyalty members.


 Finally, click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the box to save these settings
