How do I change the payment method of a completed transaction?

In the case where the wrong payment method was accidentally selected during checkout, you can manually change the payment method within the portal. To do this follow the steps below:

  1. Login to the POSaBIT web portal
  2. Select “Sales” from the sales dropdown at the top of the page
  3. Using the filters on the left-hand side, filter down the sales table until you locate the purchase you want to change the payment method on.
  4. Once you have located the correct purchase, press on the “Order ID” to pull up the order details page.
  5. On the order details page, locate the section labeled “Tenders” and select the Tx Ref number for the payment method you would like to change.
  6. You should now see the Sales Tender page for that specific TUID.
  7. Using the Payment Method dropdown, select the correct payment method that you would like to change the purchase to. Once selected, press the “Save” button to save the new payment method to the purchase.

You can also adjust the transaction sub-total, the gratuity amount, and split the tender if the transaction was split between two forms of payment. To make these other adjustments, follow the same instructions from above but select the field you would like to make adjustments to.
