How to create an audit for the Pocket POS Audit App
Inventory audits are the key to maintaining accurate inventory counts at your venue. Therefore, POSaBIT suggests that inventory is audited at a minimum of once every quarter. The PocketPOS audit application combines the best parts of the other audit methods including the ability to count products using a scanner, manually enter counts within the application, and real-time synchronization between the audit application and a generated list of products on the portal.
Below, we'll walk through the steps to create an inventory audit in the POSaBIT portal, from start to finish:
- Login to the POSaBIT web portal.
- Go to Settings and select Inventory Settings.
- Under Register Options, check the box for Enable inventory audit app on Pocket POS to activate the inventory audit app, then click Save.
- Select "Audits" from the Inventory drop-down at the top of the page.
- Press the green "+ New Audit" button found in the top right-hand corner of the page.
- In the Select Audit Type pop-up, select New Criteria Based Audit.
- In the Details section, enter a Name for the audit and select the Auditor (the employee who is going to be performing the audit). Turn on Blind audit if the auditor should not see current quantities, and Require approval if the audit should be approved before it is completed.
- Next, use the Product Filters section (Product Types, Suppliers, Brands, Strains, or View Additional Filters) to narrow down the list of products you'd like to audit, then click "Save".
- You will now see a list of all products that apply to the filters you selected. The Items Audited card at the top of the audit shows how many products will be audited (Ex. 0 / 25).
- Note: If you would like to change any of the filters be sure to press the "Save" button again to update the list of products.
- Once you have the list of products that you would like to audit, press the green "Start Audit" button to freeze the products' inventory and make the audit available on the PocketPOS audit application.
