How do I merge duplicate customer profiles?

In the case where a duplicate customer profile was accidentally created, you can easily merge the two loyalty accounts so the customer doesn’t miss out on any of their earned loyalty points.

 

  1. To do this first locate the customer account that you would like to keep within the “Customers” page.
  2. Once you have located the customer's account, press on their name to pull up the customer's profile within the portal.
  3. Next, copy / write down the ID number found at the top of the data on the left-hand side of the page.
  4. After you have copied the ID, navigate back to the customer's page and search for the duplicate that you would like to merge over.
  5. Locate the duplicate customer then press the green “Edit” button on the corresponding row within the table.
  6. Finally, scroll all the way down until you find the field “Inheritor Customer ID” within the “Merge Into” section.
  7. Enter in the copied customer ID from the customer account you would like to keep and press “Save” this will then delete that customer and move all data over to the customer account ID that you entered into the “Inheritor Customer ID” field.
