How to Manage AI Connectors
The AI Connectors page shows every AI assistant connected to your store, merchant, or brand, who owns each one, and exactly what each connector is allowed to read. You can also disconnect any connector from this page.
- Login to the POSaBIT web portal - https://app.posabit.com
- Navigate to Settings and select AI Connectors.
Viewing Connected Assistants
The connector table lists every connector on this store, merchant, or brand account, including other employees' connectors.
Column | Description |
Owner | The employee who connected the assistant. Your own connector is marked with a you badge. |
Label | The name given to the connector. |
Status | Whether the connector is active, idle, expired, or revoked. |
Expires | When the connector's current sign-in expires. It renews automatically while in use. |
Last used | The last time the assistant made a request. |
Requests | The total number of requests the connector has made. |
- If a POSaBIT team member has connected to your account for support or testing, their connector is labeled as an admin connector, so you can always see who is reading your data.
Checking a Connector's Permissions
- Select a connector to open its Permissions page.
- The page lists every tool available on your account, whether this connector is granted it, and which portal permission controls it.
- It also shows the permission groups the connector inherits from its owner. A connector always has the same access as the employee who owns it.
- For a merchant connector, these are the owner's Merchant Portal employee groups, such as the built-in Managers or Staff group or a custom group. See Merchant Portal Employee Groups Overview.
Revoking a Connector
- Select Revoke on the connector's row, then confirm.
- You can always revoke your own connector. Managers and admins can revoke any employee's connector. In the Merchant Portal, this requires Manage on the AI Connectors permission.
- Revoking takes effect on the assistant's next request. To reconnect later, follow How to Connect Your AI Assistant to POSaBIT again.
Automatic Disconnects
- A connector unused for 15 days is revoked automatically.
- Deactivating an employee, or removing their access to this store, merchant, or brand, cuts off every connector they own on the next request. Setting an employee's Merchant Role to No Merchant Access cuts off their merchant connector.
- Changing an employee's permissions or employee groups changes what their assistant can read on its next request.
Rate Limits
- Each connector can make up to 30 requests per minute and 300 requests per hour.
- If a limit is reached, the assistant is asked to wait and try again shortly. No action is needed on your part.
