Can Medical Patients under 21 use POSaBIT?
We often get asked, "can somebody under 21 use their card with POSaBIT?" - the answer is YES!
When a customer under the legal age of 21 makes a purchase, the POSaBIT system will notify the cashier after the ID scan, or after ID information is entered for an override, and alert them that customer is under 21. This safety feature helps prevent illegal sales by informing the cashier that the customer is under age, and serves as a great reminder to always check that the customer has their medical card in their possession.
