Product Type Images for the POS & Online Menu
POSaBIT makes it simple to manage your product images all on your own by setting up default product images, by product type. If you do not have an image uploaded for any particular product, but you have default images attached to the product type, then the default image will appear on your POS and online menu when viewing product details!
Pick out some default photos for each product type you have available and then follow these steps to upload your photos:
- Login to the POSaBIT web portal
- Select the Product Types under the Inventory tab at the top of the screen.
- Hit the Edit button next to the product type you'd like to upload a default image for
- Click the Browse button, choose your photo, then hit Save to upload the photo.
Size Requirements for Uploading Images
- We recommend uploading images as rectangles with a ratio of 3:2 (Width: Height), though POSaBIT will auto-adjust the image to fit if the image is not to this ratio.
- Image Size Recommendations:
- Ideal image size: 810 px x 540 px (Width x Height)
- We recommend uploading images that are larger than 540 px x 360 px, but they can be as large as 1440 px x 960 px. The smaller the image, the more the quality will be affected.
- Upload Images in one of the following File Formats:
- JPG
- PNG
- JPEG
