Linking Customers to Customer Tags

Once you have created a customer tag, you have multiple options to add the new tag to specific customers. You can add customers directly from the POS or use the POSaBIT web portal. If you have not created any customer tags yet, learn how to do so HERE.

Learn how to add tags to a customers profile using the POS below:

  1. Enter the employee Pin on the POS
  2. Scan the customer's ID
  3. If the customer has an existing account, press the Edit icon on the right side of the screen
    • If the customer does not have an account you will be taken directly to this screen
  4. Select the drop-down labeled Customer Tags
  5. Add any customer tags that apply to this specific customer
    • If Requires Manager Approval is set, you will be prompted to have a manager enter their PIN number
  6. Press the green Save button on the right side of the screen

Learn how to add tags to a customers profile using the POS portal below:

  1. Login to the POSaBIT web portal
  2. Select Customers under the customers drop-down located at the top of the screen
  3. Select the blue New Customer button to add a tag to a new customer or the green Edit button to add the tag to an existing customer
  4. On the right side of the screen check any customer tags that you wish to add to this customers profile
  5. Select the blue Save button at the bottom of the screen
