What happens if my POS goes offline?

If your POS loses internet it will automatically go into offline mode. Below are the recommended steps to debug the issue and get your device back online:

  1. First, try resetting your internet router.
  2. If you are able to connect other devices to your network but the POS is still showing as offline then  try rebooting the POS device.
    • To do this press and hold the power off button until you are prompted with a pop-up giving you the options to shut off the device or restart the device. Select the restart option. Once the device has booted back up, check to see if it is now able to connect to the network.

If you are unable to resolve the network issue right away, you can still process transactions in offline mode. When in offline mode certain features such as online orders will not get updated so keep this in mind. All transactions that occur while in offline mode will be saved locally to the device until the device reconnects back to the network. Once it has reconnected to the network, it will push all of the purchases to the server and update POSaBIT’s servers.
