Why is a product saying its 'Under Cost' on the POS?
The ‘Under Cost’ error occurs when a product in the cart is discounted below the pre-set discount limit.
There are two main types of discount limits, region-based limits and merchant-set limits
Region-based discount limits are set on a state-by-state basis and reflect the legal discount limit for your region.
Merchant-set limits are pre-set limits that allow merchants to set a max discount amount that they want their customers to be able to receive. These can be set/managed within the portal using the following steps:
- Login to the POSaBIT portal
- Select "Inventory Settings" from the settings dropdown
- Scroll down until you see the section titled "Pricing Options"
- Enter your preferred discount limit in the field labeled "Discount Limit"
- Scroll all the way down and press the blue "Save" button to save your changes
