Why is a product saying its 'Under Cost' on the POS?

The ‘Under Cost’ error occurs when a product in the cart is discounted below the pre-set discount limit.

There are two main types of discount limits, region-based limits and merchant-set limits

 

Region-based discount limits are set on a state-by-state basis and reflect the legal discount limit for your region.

 

Merchant-set limits are pre-set limits that allow merchants to set a max discount amount that they want their customers to be able to receive. These can be set/managed within the portal using the following steps:

  1. Login to the POSaBIT portal
  2. Select "Inventory Settings" from the settings dropdown
  3. Scroll down until you see the section titled "Pricing Options"
  4. Enter your preferred discount limit in the field labeled "Discount Limit"
  5. Scroll all the way down and press the blue "Save" button to save your changes
