Requiring a manager PIN for till pay-ins and pay-outs

Pay-ins and pay-outs move cash into or out of a till outside of a sale, such as adding change or paying for a delivery from the drawer. To keep cash movements under control, you can require a manager to enter their PIN before anyone records a pay-in or pay-out.

This setting is available to all POSaBIT stores.

Turn on the setting

1. In the portal, go to Settings > General POS Register Settings.
2. Under Employee Authorizations, turn on Require Manager PIN for Till Pay Ins/Outs.
3. Save.

Recording a pay-in or pay-out

With the setting on:

1. On the POS, open the till and choose Pay In or Pay Out.
2. Enter the amount and reason, then save.
3. A PIN pad appears. A manager enters their PIN.

If a manager PIN isn’t entered, the pay-in or pay-out can’t be recorded.
