How to Add a Password to an Existing Loyalty Account

Consumers who created their loyalty account in-store often only have a phone number attached to their profile. It is recommended to add a password to the account to ensure access is always available, even without access to a mobile phone.

Follow the steps below to add login credentials to an existing phone-only account.

Step 1: Log In via SMS

Since the account does not yet have a password, the user must first log in using a One-Time PIN (OTP).

  1. Open the store's online menu.
  2. Select the Profile Icon in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Click Login | Sign Up.
  4. Enter the phone number used when creating the account in-store.
  5. Select SEND CODE.
  6. Enter the 4-digit PIN sent via SMS and click Log In.

Step 2: Re-Validate User

  1. Select the Profile Icon in the top right-hand corner.
  2. Click Personal Info from the dropdown menu.
  3. Locate and select the button titled "Set Password".
  4. Re-login with the phone number linked to the account using a one-time PIN.
User validation is required at the time of the password creation to ensure only the owner of the account is able to add/edit the account password.

Step 3: Create a Password

  1. On the password creation page, enter the desired password in both the Password and Re-Enter Password fields.
  2. Click SAVE.

Outcome

The account now has a password assigned. In the future, the user can choose Login with Password on the login screen to access their account without needing a one-time PIN.
