POSaBIT Pass FAQs

Answers to common questions about creating Wallet Passes, sending campaigns, managing your subscription, and what happens when you cancel.

Requirement: POSaBIT Pass is currently available only to merchants using POSaBIT Loyalty.

Passes & Eligibility

How many Wallet Passes can I create?

There's no limit. Each Wallet Pass requires its own customer portal.

What can customers use POSaBIT Pass for?

Customers can check their points balance and scan the pass at the register to pull up their loyalty account in store.

Can I use POSaBIT Pass with a third-party loyalty provider?

No. POSaBIT Pass currently works only with POSaBIT Loyalty.

Can a customer have more than one of my passes?

Yes. Each pass a customer downloads counts separately toward your allotment, so a customer with two of your passes counts as two.

Where does the Pass Details URL appear?

On both Apple and Google devices, the Pass Details URL and Pass Details URL Title appear in the pass details. Google also shows a button below the front of the pass that links to the Pass Details URL, labeled with the Pass Details URL Title.

How many links can a pass have?

Two. One is set in the pass designer, and the other comes from your most recent campaign message.

Campaigns

Is there a limit on how many campaigns I can send?

POSaBIT doesn't limit campaigns, but Google does limit how many notifications a single user can receive per day.

Tip: To stay within Google's daily notification limit, plan for roughly three campaigns per day at most.

Billing & Subscription

If I sign up mid-month, do I pay for the full month?

No. Your first charge is prorated based on the days remaining in the current billing period.

Can I change my subscription tier mid-month?

Yes, but only once per month.

How does changing my tier affect billing?

Change

What happens

Upgrade

You're billed the prorated difference between your old and new subscription amounts at the end of the current billing period.

Downgrade

You keep access to your higher tier until the end of the current billing cycle.

Canceling & Removing Passes

Does canceling stop POSaBIT Pass immediately?

No. Subscriptions are billed at the start of each month, so you keep access through the end of the current month after canceling.

Can I undo a cancellation before the month ends?

Yes. Reactivate your account in Billing & Subscriptions and billing resumes next month as usual.

Does canceling remove passes from customers' phones?

No. The passes stay on customers' phones, but once the current billing cycle ends you can no longer send campaigns, and the passes stop updating loyalty points and other customer data.

What happens when I remove a Wallet Pass from a customer?

The pass stays on the customer's phone, just as it does when you cancel. You can no longer market to that customer through the pass, and it stops updating points and customer data.
