How to Check the Software Version on an ELO Terminal
On the night of September 30, 2025, POSaBIT will complete a backend migration to the Elo Terminal Management System (TMS), which manages terminals and pushes POSaBIT POS app updates.
- If your Elo terminal has been online since early August, it has already received the required update.
- If your terminal has been offline (e.g., powered off or stored), it may not meet the minimum software requirements for this migration.
- Any terminal not updated before Sept. 30 will become inoperable and require a factory reset to reconnect to POSaBIT.
π Please ensure all terminals are powered on, connected to the internet, and running a compliant software version. If you find a terminal on an older build, contact your POSaBIT support rep immediately so they can push an update before the migration.
Step 1: Access the Device Settings
- From the home screen, swipe up or tap the Settings (gear) icon.
- If your device is locked in kiosk mode, use the Elo exit gesture:
- Tap 5 times quickly in the same corner of the screen (by default, the lower right corner).
- Enter your admin password or PIN when prompted.
- This will open the Admin/Settings menu.
Step 2: Navigate to the "About" Section
- In the Settings menu, scroll down and tap System (or go directly to About device/About tablet, depending on your model).
- Select About device (sometimes shown as About tablet or About terminal).

- This must be done before the Sept. 26th to avoid downtime.
